I had a DS in January 2001 With Dr. Kenneth Welker and had lost 150 lbs, 1/2 my body weight and of course was left with lots of redundant skin and because of a complication from my DS surgery, the many surgeries that followed related to it and my care that followed, I was also left with deformed muscles in my abdomen that caused abdominal expansion by days end, severe back pain and physical difficulties.

The doctors in the US were telling me I was lucky to be alive and thought it unreasonable that I felt that I needed any additional surgeries, especially one just to repair muscle. It was clear that they didn't want to risk surgery on me again and attaining the money for the costs of these surgeries would have been out of reach anyway.

I was informed that Dr. Fabio had extensive experience in muscle work and I was cautiously optimistic that he might be able to help me. Dr. Fabio was able to do the repair and I was amazed by the muscle work he performed, making my muscles even better than before my original surgery.

Dr. Fabio is one the most "human" doctors I've ever met; surprising, since surgeons tend to be even less human that most doctors. The staff at his office was very helpful and one can just tell that they genuinely care about you. I found this true with the Brazilian people in the area as well.

I have made two trips for surgeries and stayed in Brazil 5 weeks and then 4 weeks.

I believe that the partnership of Wanda, TLC and Dr. Fabio is the perfect combination for providing a safe, reliable and positive experience for surgery in Brazil. The fact that it is more affordable than the US is just a bonus.
